Offleash Dogs Web Ring: home page
What's the history of this ring? Who can be a member of this ring? Who is already in this ring? How can I join? What's the HTMLfragment? How can I edit my site information once my site's in the ring? How can I find a dog park/beach in a specific location or start one of my own? What should I do if I'm at a dog park/beach and my dog gets attacked? For offleash and other dog-themed clothes, gifts, stickers, and more, visit the Mistress' new CafePress shop: I'm Stumped! Read the Mistress' I'm Stumped! blog for the latest rants, commentaries, and suggestions (not necessarily dog-related, but generally practical)
Also check out Lucy's Suggestions for books & movies, many about dogs but also covering classics and odd topics, most of which are available through Amazon.com.
Go to the "Children's fiction about pets" section there for more details on the upcoming kids' book

Who can join this ring? This ring is primarily for dog owners and dog groups who have, use, create, or want to start an off-leash dog play area, aka. a dog park. We want dogs to have safe, legal places to socialize and play together off-leash. A well-exercised, well-socialized dog is a happy dog. Please make sure to read the Membership Guidelines on the "join" form very thoroughly before applying, to make sure your site is a good match for this ring. As those guidelines explain, your site must explicitly advocate, describe, show supportive photos of, or otherwise promote dog parks and/or other offleash dog activities. Having a web site about dogs is not sufficient for membership. See the Membership Guidelines for the most up-to-date requirements. Most sites are for general audiences, but a very few might be confusing or disturbing to small children. They may contain puppy mill or animal abuse prevention info or liability discussions, for instance, but we encourage sites to be non-alarmist. To maintain this community-friendly atmosphere, sites in this ring should avoid hostility, profanity, and obscenity. Political discussions are, of course, to be expected, but we try to keep them polite. We hope you'll join us! |
